Peter Foll's father "John" started the family tree in 1920, he spoke to many older members of the family to gather the information,
Peter has also got alot of information from a Greatworth Foll family bible held by a George Foll in Macklesfield the bible was damaged by fire but the pages with the names was mainly intact.
Peter has a brother called John Foll and they are both interested in the family history,

It is interesting to hear that your copy of our tree is dated 1998 as I was under the impression that there had been no further published amendments made since 1994. Perhaps the discrepancy I mentioned does not exist on your copy?

The G Foll you mention is my cousin, Geoffrey, being the elder son of my Uncle Peter. I live in London and was travelling abroad when the 1994 version of the tree was drawn up.

I note on the version of the tree I have that on your branch, John (E33) 2nd son of your Hattil, had 7 children with his 2nd one being recorded as James 1907-1910 (F300). Your records show him to have been John Hattil J Foll. The accompanying records to the tree prepared by my Uncle Peter dated 1993 record him as John Hattil James Foll. I don't understand why he went down on the version of the tree which I have as a 'James' as this appears to be incorrect. It would be interesting to know what name he has in the 1998 version you have to clarify this point.

My Uncle Peter moved himself into a residential care home last year in Bedford. He is not on e-mail although his phone no. is 01234261077 if you wanted to contact him. I am unaware of him having done any further research since the loss of my father. He is quite elderly now although is still mentally altogether.

According to this research the John Foll born 1720 and who married F Checkley is recorded as having produced 10 children. It refers to there being 2 girls being christened Mary and both living short lives. There was apparently a Mary baptised 13th May 1774 and who died aged 5 years and 6 months in
 1778 and another Mary baptised 9th April 1786 and died aged 8 months.
